Description
I visited LaSalle Park in Burlington to see the trumpeter swans that overwinter there and I was thrilled to see over a hundred trumpeter and mute swans. Luckily for me the untagged mute swans were out in front and the trumpeter swans had stopped fighting long enough for me to snap this shot. It was an overcast day perfect for picture taking and the slight fog gives the picture a dreamy effect. I took the picture from a low vantage point so the snow frames the shot in the front and Hamilton and the Skyway Bridge are in the background. I am pleased with how it turned out and I am happy to share this image with you.

Good lord, this is something that is exceptional!!!! You didn't state the time of the year but I take it that it is migration time. With the orange bill, I think they are Mutes which are more common but still exceptional. Marvelous opportunity. The few added ducks just add a little extra interest. Oh, I like and thank you so much for sharing your catch.

Thank-you Mary! It was in February the swans overwinter in Burlington. The swans are mostly Mute swans but there are a lot of Trumpeter swans too with the black beaks. Your kind words mean so much, thank-you!
