About Laurel Best
I have a passion for nature and wildlife and creating art. I have been drawing as long as I can remember and spent many hours as a teenager capturing my favourite pictures in pencil. Art has always been a part of my family. My grandmother, Jean Monkhouse was an oil painter and art teacher. She was my first art teacher, and I will always remember painting with her in her cottage in Atikokan. My dad, Lawrence Monkhouse is a professional photographer. I sell my original artwork on Etsy! www.Etsy.com/shop/LaurelBestArt Follow me on Instagram @laurelbestart You can find me on www.facebook.com/LBestArt. Thank-you Stan. Yes, at first I was hoping to get just the swans in the picture but you are right, the mallards help. There were about 100 swans out that day, see the picture I just posted called '63 swans a swimming'. Cheers, Laurel

Thank-you Yaneth!

Kinda neat how the mallards give a sense of scale to the swans. Gives you an idea of how large they really are. :)
